Half of the population lags behind in menstrual hygiene

There is a need to create awareness among women to take care of their hygiene by using period products during periods...
You may be surprised to know that out of all the states in India, Gujarat and Meghalaya are the only 2 states where 65 percent of women use period products. But in other states this ratio is very less. We tell you that despite all the options of modernity and information, three fourth of the 82 women in the country do not use sanitary napkins and still follow old fashioned practices during menstruation. The main reason is that most girls and even women consider it a shame to talk about it. So there is not only the fear of infection but also the risk of infertility and cancer. That is why it is necessary to create awareness among women to take care of their hygiene by using period products during periods. What the numbers say If we talk about the National Family Health Survey, women of Bihar are lagging behind in terms of lack of hygiene, where only 59 percent of women use safe equipment only during menstruation. Even today, around 50 percent of women in the age group of 15 to 24 across the country use clothes during menstruation. You may be surprised to know that every year millions of women around the world die due to infection during menstruation. Which is pretty amazing.
Chances of cervical cancer During periods, when women use the most clothing, the chances of vaginal infection are very high. Which is directly related to cervical cancer. We tell you that every year in India thousands of women die of uterine and cervical cancer. Among them, there is a large number of women in rural areas, who do not take care of hygiene during menstruation. This cancer is a cancer directly related to the female reproductive system, which affects the cells of the cervix and causes cancer. For which there is an urgent need to create public awareness about the importance of hygiene during menstruation. Buying cheap napkins is also a big problem We all know very well that women put their family first. Be it about their food or their health, they completely neglect themselves in this matter. So they have many shortcomings and use cheap napkins or clothes kept at home to save money. We tell you that even though you get cheap napkins, they contain many harmful chemicals including bleaching, which can cause infertility along with ovarian cancer. It has also been proven that most women use non-organic sanitary pads, which contain as much plastic as four plastic bags in one pad. From which you can guess how harmful they are for women's health. How to take care of cleanliness Don't be skimpy when using pads. Be careful if you use clothes during your monthly period. Because of the many bacteria it contains, it can spoil your reproductive health. So only good i.e. organic pads should be used during periods. Because it is natural and also has very good absorbency. Also, since it is made of natural ingredients, the chances of developing diseases like urinary infection, cancer are very less. Being more comfortable, it is also very good for vaginal health. Even if your menstrual flow is not heavy, keep changing the pad every two to three hours. It is very important for you to remember this. So that there is no possibility of any kind of infection.
Bathe daily Women's body undergoes various changes during menstruation. Sometimes stomach pain and sometimes back pain. In such situations many times girls and women completely avoid daily bathing during menstruation. This can lead to vaginal infection. In such a situation, taking care of your personal hygiene, you have to make it a habit to take a bath every day during this period. So that you can protect yourself from infection. Tampons are also the best option Tampons are the safest and best option if you have heavy flow or want to avoid the hassle of changing pads frequently. It just needs to be inserted comfortably inside the vagina. It is easy to use and very comfortable. Just remember not to use a single tampon for more than 8 hours, otherwise infection may occur. Keep the vagina clean Keep washing your vagina with clean water to prevent infection. Because there is always bleeding from the vagina during periods, there is a risk of infection if not cleaned. Also, due to lack of hygiene, your vagina starts to smell. To prevent this, keep the vagina clean. Put on cotton panties For these days, your panties should be separate, cotton and clean. Because if you use the same dirty panty every day, the risk of infection increases significantly. Also if you use cotton panties they will be comfortable as well as skin friendly. (SATISH PATKI)
