Although diabetes has spread all over the world, India is its biggest stronghold today. The biggest reason for this is the 21st century lifestyle. But if it is attended to in time and diet is improved, it can be controlled to a large extent.
1. Exercise – Studies show that exercise improves blood flow in the body and helps control blood sugar levels. As a result, there is a higher metabolism and a lower risk of diabetes.
2.Don't take sugar – You should eat less sugar, jaggery, honey, cold drinks etc., so that the blood sugar level is completely under control. Consuming high sugar foods and sugary drinks can increase insulin levels.
3.Fiber – Fiber plays an important role in the absorption of blood sugar. Therefore, we should eat wheat, brown rice or wheat bread etc., which will control the blood sugar level in the body, thereby reducing the risk of diabetes.
4.Fresh Fruits and Vegetables – Fruits contain natural sugars and provide all kinds of nutrition to the body. Fresh fruits contain vitamins A and C, which maintain blood and bone health. Apart from this, a good mix of zinc, potassium, iron is also found. Spinach, khobi, bitter, arabica, gourd etc. are health promoting in diabetes. It is low in calories and high in vitamin C, beta carotene and magnesium, which cures diabetes.
5.Green Tea – Drink green tea daily without sugar as it contains anti-oxidants that fight free radicals in the body and maintain blood sugar levels.
6.Coffee – Consuming too much caffeine can lead to heart disease, but if consumed in moderation, it can significantly maintain blood sugar levels.
7.Taking special care with food – If you don't eat for a while, the chances of hypoglycemia, in which the blood sugar drops below 70, are greatly increased. Keep eating after about two and a half hours. Instead of eating three times a day, eat a little six-seven times a day.
8.Cinnamon – Research suggests that cinnamon reduces inflammation in the body and regulates insulin levels. Add a pinch of cinnamon powder to food, tea or hot water and drink it.
9.Reduce stress – Both oxytocin and serotonin affect nerve function. When adrenaline is released during times of stress, it becomes disrupted, leading to a higher risk of diabetes.
10.High protein diet – People who eat non-vegetarian should include lil meat in their diet. Eating a high protein diet keeps the body strong as diabetics are advised to avoid carbohydrates and excess fat.
11.Say no to fast food – bad body condition is only caused by eating junk food. It contains not only salt but also sugar and carbohydrates in the form of oil. All of these raise your blood sugar levels.
12.Salt restriction – A proper salt limit will help control diabetes. Eating too much salt increases the risk of hormonal imbalances in the body. Apart from this, it can also increase type 2 diabetes.
13.Drink plenty of water – Water helps reduce excess blood sugar, so you should drink 2.5 liters of water per day. It won't give you heart disease or diabetes.
14.Vinegar – Vinegar lightens the blood sugar concentration by dissolving it on its own. Studies have shown that consuming two teaspoons of vinegar before a meal reduces the flow of glucose.
15.Soy – Soy shows magical effects in reducing diabetes. The isoflavones present in it nourish the body by lowering the sugar level.
